Mexico 2026 Special Edition - Green Jersey

At the 2025 FIFA World Cup draw ceremony in December, the Mexican national team debuted this special edition green jersey, joining mascot “Zayú” (representing the Mexican jaguar) to kick off the host nation's campaign. As a limited edition tribute to the iconic 1998 “Maya Style” kit, it will make its official debut during the opening match at the Azteca Stadium on June 11, 2026, witnessing the historic moment when the Tricolor takes on South Africa. This stadium will also become the first venue in World Cup history to host the tournament for the third time.
Faithfully preserving Mexico's iconic emerald green base to evoke memories of the “Green Ocean” fan culture, the jersey features subtle black gradient zigzag patterns. Inspired by the feathered serpent deity and the “copal” feather headdress from Aztec civilization, these symmetrical motifs symbolize divine authority and strength. A heat-pressed 3D crest with a gold border adorns the left chest, while agave-red ribbed V-neck and cuffs create a contrasting color scheme, recreating the visual impact of the iconic 1998 jersey. The back neckline features embroidered red “México” lettering, subtly incorporating miniature Aztec calendar symbols beneath. Matte black embroidered brand logos on the shoulders create layered visual depth with the subtle patterns, balancing cultural richness with contemporary aesthetics.
